The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District is seeking a Network and Security Analyst to play a lead role in designing, securing, optimizing, and maintaining the District’s network and cybersecurity infrastructure, including threat detection and response, technical support and documentation, and strategic technology planning aligned with cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

Any combination of training and experience, which demonstrates attainment of the required knowledge and ability to perform the required work (with reasonable accommodation, if needed), typically:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information security, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of recent experience performing network and security administration, preferably in a public sector or utility environment.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: A valid California Class C Driver’s License must be maintained at all times.

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, and CYSA+
